Our customers love creating sugar free sweets and confectionary with our products. Humans love sweetness and these products appeal to people who want to manage their weight and/or medical conditions without giving up sweets altogether.

Traditionally Xylitol has been the most commonly used natural sweetener in the confectionery space as it not only tastes great, but also actively helps reduce tooth decay and cavities. 

Looking beyond Xylitol, Erythritol-based products, including Monk Fruit Blend, Classic Blend, Premium Blend and pure Erythritol are all frequently used in the confectionery space - at home and commercially. 

In fact, it is worth mentioning that the sweetnz® brand and Premium Blend were created when the founder sought the "perfect" natural sweetener to make sugar free chocolate. Since then, all of our products have been used to produce sugar-free candy, gummies, jellies, mints, mint-based treats, and many more sweets. 

Important to our customers is the fact that sweetnz® products are natural and sweet - containing no artificial or synthetic ingredients and no refined sugars. Our products are 100% natural and can be consumed with confidence. 

The main drivers behind the trend toward No Sugar and Low Sugar is of course our concern with what we eat and drink. Increasingly we are concerned about our health and the health of those we provide for. The New Zealand Health Survey 2020/21 found that: around 1 in 3 adults (aged 15 years and over) were classified as obese* (34.3%), up from 31.2% in 2019/20.
